A Safari in Kenya - April 2006

This 'blog' (web log) gives an account of our experience of a week's safari in Kenya (a 'Cheetah Safari' booked with Kuoni.

Over the week we spent in Kenya, we travelled long distances and visited 4 main locations:

• Samburu National Reserve
• Moutain Lodge (with his famous waterhole where animals come to drink), at Mount Kenya
• Nakuru Lake National Park
• Masai Mara National Reserve

We covered, on average 150-200 miles from each location to the next. These were lengthy journeys, due to the very poor state of most roads. Our routes crossed through numerous villages, which enabled us to see quite a bit of Kenya - besides the wonderous African wildlife we encountered on our safari expeditions.
